The Artis Royal Zoo and Micropia Museum Amsterdam are two of the finest nature conversation centers in The Netherlands.
The Artis Royal Zoo was established in the 19th century and is one of the oldest zoos in Holland. It boasts some of the most beautiful 19th century architecture in Amsterdam, as well as an aquarium and planetarium. The zoo also holds over 200 species of trees and more than 900 species of animals.

The Micropia Museum is the first in the whole wide world which reveals the smallest creatures in the world! The museum shows various microbes, which are often associated with sickness and ailment. The Micropia’s exhibitions reveal how these little monsters actually play an important role in our eco-system, showing visitors the positive view of microbes.
