Make your own fresh Dutch stroopwafels in a hands-on workshop at Albert Cuypstraat 194 in De Pijp. In just 45 minutes, you’ll press, bake and fill 2 XL stroopwafels yourself, then enjoy them with coffee, tea or water — or take them home if they survive that long.
From €19.00 on one daily timeslot, or €23.50 normally. It’s an easy Amsterdam activity for couples, friends, families and groups who want to do something local without giving up half the day, and it pairs well with a creative stop at our Traditional Delft Tile Painting Workshop or a relaxed browse through more Amsterdam activities.

Looking for a Dutch experience in Amsterdam that feels easy to book and actually worth doing? This stroopwafel workshop gives you a short, hands-on introduction to one of the Netherlands’ best-known treats, right in the middle of the Albert Cuyp area.
It works especially well if you want something local, social and low-pressure. You’re not just buying a stroopwafel from a shop window — you’re making your own, learning a bit about where it comes from, and leaving with something warm, fresh and properly Amsterdam. If you like activities where you create something yourself, our Traditional Delft Tile Painting Workshop offers a calmer, more creative Dutch experience with a different kind of keepsake to take home.
This workshop is a good fit for people who want a Dutch activity without it feeling overdone. At 45 minutes, it’s short enough to fit around lunch, market browsing or one of our Amsterdam canal and boat experiences, but still hands-on enough to feel memorable.
The setting also helps. Being based at Albert Cuypstraat 194 gives it a more grounded local feel than a generic city-centre attraction, especially if you already like the idea of spending time in De Pijp.
Started in 2024 as one of Amsterdam’s first dedicated Stroopwafel Workshops.
Your workshop starts with a short introduction from your host, including the story behind the traditional Dutch stroopwafel. You’ll then be guided through the process step by step, from pressing the dough to baking the waffle and filling it with warm syrup.
During the session, you make 2 XL stroopwafels yourself. Coffee, tea or water is included, and if you manage not to eat both straight away, you can take them home with you.
The format is simple and social. It works well for couples, friends, families and small groups because the workshop is structured enough to feel organised, but relaxed enough that it never feels awkward or overly staged. If you’re putting together a full day in the city, this also combines nicely with our Traditional Delft Tile Painting Workshop or other group-friendly Amsterdam activities.
This workshop is available as a shared experience for up to 20 guests, which makes it an easy option for anyone visiting Amsterdam who wants something short, central and interactive. Shared tickets start from €19.00 on one daily timeslot, with the regular price at €23.50.
For birthdays, team outings and private group events, private workshops are available for €35 per person with a minimum booking size of 12 guests. Private sessions can host up to 24 guests on location, and custom locations are possible on request, with location cost not included.
If you’re organising a wider day out, it can work well alongside a creative workshop like our Traditional Delft Tile Painting Workshop or one of the broader options in our Amsterdam group activities guide.
