Practice your beatbox skills and learn about its history. This workshop can be easily combined with a tour of the city including some of the best chill out spots and different musicians from Amsterdam. Learn the basics of vocal percussion. You’ll soon be mimicking the sound of drum machines and other musical instruments You will often hear about beatboxing in the hip-hop culture and it is referred as the fifth element of hip-hop. The term is usually associated with the vocal percussion. It is a form of modern music and has grown to be very popular around the whole world. It is even holding various competitions for prize-winning or just for amusements.
Beat boxing world records have been set in in Amsterdam!
The largest human beatbox record in the Guinness World Records is held by the booking.com employees. 4659 people were involved in achieving the record together with some beatboxers at RAI Amsterdam. The record was set in 2013 at their annual company meeting.
Anyone can do it!
Of course! If you are willing to learn how to beatbox, you are welcome to invite your friends too! Then, you can do a competition and maybe even win a special prize at the end!
