Our Amsterdam Nude Painting Workshop offers an in-depth introduction to the techniques and principles necessary for accurately capturing the elegance and subtlety of the human form. The painting of nude models has been popular in the art world for thousands of years, from Ancient Greece to postmodernist schools of art. And many great artists such as Manet, Titian and Velasquez specialised in this type of painting and today many of their greatest works hang in major international art galleries. Although this genre of painting is criticised even today in some quarters as eccentric or immoral, it has been commonly accepted as one of the great forms of painting.

This activity comes with an instructor, a nude model (for 1 hour), all materials (paint, canvas, etc.) and a welcome drink. The total duration of the workshop is 2 hours and the minimum amount of people required to book the nude painting workshop is 8.

Follow the footsteps of the great masters and try your hand at life art!

Amsterdam Nude Painting Workshop all the materials and supplies are provided as part of the cost of the workshop.

As is the nude model (male or female), who is eager to see what you can do with your chalk. Your teacher will give you a short introduction and will instruct you on the basic techniques of nude painting with charcoal. And after, it’s time to create your masterpiece! Our models have practised and perfected a number of poses to ensure that you have the opportunity to capture all of his or her finest features. The nude model will be present at the workshop for one hour.
