Our tour takes you to two amazing breweries inside the city center! It normally takes about 3 to 4 hours (including travel and depending on the time spent inside each brewery). So, lots to see and loads of information to take in regarding all aspects of beer brewing! Along with the history of the breweries, this convenient tour is filled with fun facts and is an ideal way to spend a morning or afternoon.
Children are welcome and can get a discounted rate, but only over 18s can drink!
First we’ll take you into the heart of Amsterdam to the Heineken Experience Brewery, where you’ll find out more about Amsterdam’s most famous beers. You’ll learn about different techniques used in beer production, and as you make your way through the brewery you’ll be given two free beers to help you get in the perfect mood for the tour. At the end of the tour two more free beers to set you up for a day dedicated to the amber nectar.

Afterwards the tour will continue to Brouwerij De Prael, one of Amsterdam’s finest breweries and beer tasting houses. Conveniently located in the city center on the border of the De Wallen Red Light District, De Prael boasts a huge range of beers of various flavours, colours and strengths, and they have excellent Dutch and Belgian style beers, as well as examples of the German Kolsch brews. They also produce unique seasonal beers which we think are truly unforgettable!
Our tour is led by a real beer enthusiast who will be able to tell you all about the incredible renaissance in Amsterdam’s brewing that began in the 1980’s. Learn about the fascinating history of brewing as your guide helps you to select the perfect beer for you! While you enjoy your tipple they explain in detail the story behind Amsterdam’s best craft breweries, such as Oedipus, De Prael, Three Sisters and De Bekeerde Suster!
